The AGM meeting minutes are included below and we ask that you review them carefully. Following the strategic planning survey, review and presentation to the board, the Global Alliance Council endorsed a series of new governance recommendations (please see the minutes). These will now be drafted as formal amendments to the Articles of Association for approval by members at a special GA meeting to be held in November. Look for details on the November meeting in future communications.

Also included in the minutes is a listing of the new GA Board. The new board is effective July 1, 2009. All positions are a two-year term. We wish to thank Colin Farrington, out-going GA Chair, for his 11 years of service to the GA and to its board. 

On a separate topic, the GA is looking to expand its media coverage for its member associations and the GA as a whole. We would be grateful if you could send to us media contacts in your area so that we can expand our reach in sending out important GA news globally.
