January 2024 is all about us: Health and Wellbeing Month

As 2023 draws to an end we know it has been a busy year and many of us are still dealing with looming deadlines and completing projects before the Christmas break. Often in all the busyness we forget to take time for ourselves and often end the work year feeling tired and rundown.

Health and wellbeing has become part of business as usual and as public relations and communications management practitioners it is important we have an updated professional tool kit so we can add value in this space. We also need to look after our own health and wellbeing so we can operate at our best.

To start of 2024 Global Alliance is running Health and Wellbeing month in January which will provide tips and tools that we can use in both our professional and personal lives. There will daily tips, articles, resources and webinars from around the world for you.

Information will be made available on our social platforms so make sure you add our website, facebook and twitter links to your socials so you know what’s coming up in January. Our start date is 8 January. If you have any resources that you would like to share with our community then please email us.

I hope you get the chance to have a relaxing break with family and friends and look forward to being in touch in 2024.

Chair, Health and Wellbeing Month - January 2024

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management has put together a series of activities to celebrate Health and Wellbeing Month this January. Its aim is to give everyone a chance to have a relaxing break with family and friends and look forward to being in touch in 2024. So, all throughout the month of January, Global Alliance will be giving away access to white papers ready for download, global news, articles with links, podcasts, and a “Health and Wellbeing” webinar that would serve as the culmination of this year’s celebration.

In this webinar, Jenny Muir, an international communication and advocacy expert and the former president of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) will walk you through the professional curtain and help you touch on some industry realities plus the importance of looking after yourself, your colleagues, and the community from a mental health and suicide prevention perspective.

Also joining her in this webinar is Zarah Hernaez, former Corporate Communications Manager of Total Philippines and an experienced communications consultant, who will help contextualize the impact of current and likely environmental factors that PR and communications professionals will need to address in 2024.

In line with this, we hope you could join us in this free webinar via ZOOM on Monday, January 29, at 4 PM (Australia Time) / 5 AM (GMT time London/Lisbon).
