PRIA Golden Target Awards 2013

Have you started crafting your entry for the Golden Target Awards 2013? This year is set to be the best year yet. We've Reinvigorated and Revamped the program in consultation with a number of the industry’s best, who have combined their knowledge and experience to reinvigorate the Awards to reflect the ever evolving PR and communications industry. The changes include:

The number of sector categories

Categories have been reduced from 16 to 11 to better reflect the nature of the work and campaigns within the Australian PR industry.

New “Best Of” categories

The introduction of four new “Best Of’ categories to complement the Campaign of the Year and Educator of the Year awards initiated in 2012:

  • Emerging PR Professional of the Year
  • PR Consultancy of the Year
  • In-House PR Professional/Team of the Year
  • Best Use of Analytics

Simplified entry process

Entry for the awards has been simplified, with a single entry replacing the previous two-step process.

Entry length

The entry word length has been halved from 2000 words to 1000 words.

Timelines

Entries open 1 July
Entries close 31 July
Last date for late entries (additional fee applies) 10 August
Judging panels conclude deliberations 30 August
State Award Events September
National Awards and Gala Dinner, at National Conference, Adelaide. 18 November

Cost

The entry fee is $300.00 per campaign. A further $100.00 will be charged for entries lodged between 1st and 10th August.

The Awards are presented to PRIA members who have achieved excellence in PR. With the exception of the In-House PR Team of the Year category, recognition goes to the individual entrant who created and managed the campaign. Certificates can be issued to recognise clients and team members, but the awards remain in the name of the entrant, even if that person changes employer.
