“The days of just sending out messages are done.” Dircom interviews Anne Gregory, Global Alliance Chair

January 28, 2014

In her interview with Dircom, the Spanish Association of Communication Directors, Anne Gregory, Chair of the Global Alliance, talks about the revolution that communication has undergone in the past few years with the explosion of social media and online communication and how these changes affect the organizations and their structure. Nowadays companies are vulnerable in many ways and they have a whole range of accountabilities to a wide and unknown public.

“Everything an organization does tells a story and this positions PR practitioners in another situation in comparison with the past. Public Relations is no longer just the relationship with the media, it’s about everything you do, it’s about getting in contact with the whole range of the organization’s stakeholders” she said.

The role of Public Relations and the importance of authenticity in communication will be debated at the 2014 World Public Relations Forum in Madrid, where the main theme is “Communication with conscience”. Don’t miss this occasion to hear the best speakers in our field on what’s going on in the world and in communication: register now.
