AMEC Announces Lisbon as Venue for 2011 European Summit

The Summit is aimed at corporate communications and public relations professionals as well as market research and evaluation agencies. Best practices from business and insights from research on an international level will be presented at the event.

Barry Leggetter, Executive Director of AMEC, following the adoption of the Barcelona Principles, AMEC has led a proactive debate amongst PR professionals, created two Taskforces to look at how validated metrics can replace AVE's and urged its members and clients to sign the Barcelona Principles Adoption Statement.

He said: said: "The measurement world took a big step forward with the Barcelona Principles. We have the interest and the momentum from the PR industry on a worldwide basis. Lisbon is the next step in AMEC's commitment to driving the industry towards greater adoption of professional standards."
