Global Alliance heads north to Finland for the 2013 Annual Meeting and the Nordic, Baltic & Russian PR Leadership Forum
Finland will host two important events in Helsinki this June - the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management (GA) Annual General Meeting, followed by the Nordic, Baltic & Russian PR Leadership Forum.
The GA Annual General Meeting will be held on June 3, when leaders of GA member associations will gather to share common challenges and opportunities in association management. The event will be hosted by ProCom, the Finnish Association of Communication Professionals, and will be held at the ProCom headquarters in Helsinki.
On June 4, the GA in conjunction with ProCom will run the Nordic, Baltic and Russian PR Leadership Forum, with the theme "Communication, people and leadership". Around 250 communications professionals are expected to attend from Finland, with many more from the region and from around the world. Delegates are already confirmed from more than 15 countries, including senior professionals from North and South America, Europe and Asia.
The Forum has an impressive growing list of speakers including Daniel Tisch, GA Chair and President & CEO at Argyle Communications, Canada; awarded Russian PR-influencer Andrey Barannikov, CEO of SPN Ogilvy communications agency and Chairman of the Russian Communications Consultancies Association and Anne Gregory, GA Chair-Elect and Professor of Public Relations and Director of the Centre for Public Relations Studies at Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. The event is to be moderated by Bettina Sågbom, an awarded Finnish-Swedish editor.
The PR Leadership Forum will be held in conjunction with ProCom's largest annual event, ProCom Day. The 2013 Communications Awards will take place at the end of ProCom Day on 4th of June at Kalastajatorppa, Helsinki. The award categories include: Best Communication Campaign, Best Communication Professional, Director of the year and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
