Global Alliance launches awards program to celebrate the best of the best in PR worldwide
Lugano, Switzerland, May 27 2013 – The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management today launched the Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards, a global competition celebrating the most outstanding national and international public relations and communication management programs and case studies.
The Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards program has three divisions: (1) public relations and communication programs that have already earned a local, national or international award from a GA member association; (2) successful programs that are international in scope; and (3) academic case studies for use in an education.
“The Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards are about raising standards and sharing knowledge by celebrating the ‘best of the best’ in global public relations and communication management,” said Global Alliance Chair Daniel Tisch. “In launching this important program, the Global Alliance aims to provide another level of recognition to our members and to grow our profession’s global body of knowledge.”
The new awards program was developed after a year of planning that involved a working group of representatives from GA national and international member associations.
“If you’ve won a local, national or international award this year, entering the Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards is a chance to benchmark your work against other award-winning programs from around the world,” said Bill Murray, GA Treasurer and President of the Public Relations Society of America, who chaired the working group. “The winners will become part of the history of the public relations and communication management profession.”
Submissions for the Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards can be made online, effective immediately. The early-bird submission deadline is June 28 2013, with the final submission deadline on July 31 2013. The Global Alliance aims to announce the winners in November 2013.
Judges for the academic category include Professor Paul A. Argenti, Professor Mohan J. Dutta and Dr. Dean Kruckeberg. Judges for the practitioner categories will include some of the world’s most senior public relations and communication professionals.
