Global Alliance leaders join First Global Congress for Muslim PR Practitioners

December 5, 2011

December 5, 2011, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – In an historic event, leaders of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, the confederation of the world's major public relations and communication management associations, are participating this week in the First Global Congress for Muslim Public Relations Practitioners.

Global Alliance Chair Daniel Tisch will address the conference on the theme of ‘Unity and Diversity in Public Relations.’ Past GA chairs Toni Muzi Falconi and Jean Valin will also give presentations on global communication trends and their possible implications for the practice of public relations in Islamic countries. The event is expected to draw more than 400 participants, with speakers and participants attending from both Islamic and non-Islamic countries.

“The Global Alliance joins this historic conference because we believe that international collaboration can make us better communicators – not only by sharing best practices, but also by building bridges and enhancing understanding between our cultures,” said Global Alliance Chair Daniel Tisch. “While every country has its own distinct communications culture, there are universal principles that unite professional communicators everywhere. We extend our hands in friendship to all who join us in this global dialogue.”
