International Integrated Reporting Framework set for final approval and release in December in London

December 4, 2013

The highly anticipated International <IR> Framework for integrated reporting is set for release on December 9, following a high profile welcome on December 4 by the Lord Mayor of London, Fiona Woolf at the City’s Mansion House.

The Framework has been developed over the last two years following consultation with a wide variety of stakeholders. It is viewed by many as a key to building financial stability and sustainability in global marketplace and the consultation period on the draft Framework concluded in September this year.

Submissions came from every region of the world and, based on the feedback received, the IIRC has revised the Framework in time for the IIRC Council meeting in London where final approval will be sought.

In November, the IIRC Pilot Programme Yearbook 2013 was released, telling the stories of the businesses that took part in the pilot.

The stories tell how businesses and investors worked towards <IR> and how, as a result, they are connecting departments and developing strategies for longer term value creation. The 2013 Yearbook focuses on the sustainability aspects of <IR>, which can also be viewed through the lenses of finance and intangibles such as intellectual or human capital.

The Yearbook can be viewed here (http://www.theiirc.org/) along with more information on the Framework release.
