IPRA and GA sign on to develop worldwide public relations

February 25, 2010

In a Gala signing ceremony, IPRA President Elizabeth Goenawan Anton and GA Chair John Paluszek executed the document designed to "contribute to the development of the PR profession and the PR industry worldwide by way of collaboration on joint activities."

The prospective cooperative efforts include training, member services, joint events and advocacy for the profession.

GA Chair John Paluszek noted that the agreement is the third such GA collaboration with international public relations organizations serving individual members: "We are delighted to acknowledge the common mission GA shares with IPRA as well as the International Association of Business Communicators and the Institute for Public Relations."

The three organizations are affiliate members of the Global Alliance and, with other affiliate members, are represented on the GA Board by IABC past chair Annette Martell.
