It’s the Biz: Public Relations Society of America welcomes top influencers to October 2012 international conference

August 22, 2012

Keynote speakers for this year’s PRSA conference include Twitter Co-Founder Biz Stone and Pandora Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Tim Westergren, recognized as two of the “Most Influential People in the World” in consecutive years by TIME Magazine. Additional keynote speakers include Michael S. Steele, MSNBC political analyst and former chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), and June Cotte, consumer behavioral expert and associate professor of marketing at the Richard Ivey School of Business.

The PRSA 2012 International Conference is among the world’s foremost gatherings of public relations and communications professionals. The event, which last year attracted more than 3,000 attendees from 25 countries, offers opportunities to network and glean actionable insights from thought leaders in a variety of industries and public relations disciplines.

The undeniable fact that social media and technology are forever changing the way organizations communicate is reflected in the theme of this year’s International Conference, “The Future Starts Now.”  The theme is also a reminder of the need for public relations professionals to stay at the forefront of ever-evolving channels of consumer engagement.

In addition, attendees will have access to more than 80 professional development sessions, organized into five learning “tracks”:  Strategies, Tools & Techniques, Specialization, Measurement and Return on Investment (ROI) and Leadership and Management.

The 2012 International Conference will be held Oct. 13–16, at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.
