Italy: Understanding the Organizational Story

September 21, 2011

International experts from Digital Democracy will bring insights on organizational storytelling to a special professional development seminar hosted by FERPI, the Italian public relations professional federation, this September. Mark Belinsky and Elizabeth Ghormley will focus on how the collection and aggregation of data can help to interpret and make sense of organizational storytelling.

FERPI's announcement says: "In October this year, the United Nations will formalize the number of Earth's inhabitants at seven billion - yet there are already five billion mobile phones shared among us. Never in our history has there been such an availability of communication tools in proportion to the number of inhabitants.  This, coupled with the pervasiveness of the Web and other media - digital or otherwise - allows each of us to connect with others.

"This is the starting point for our exploration, led by Mark and Elizabeth, on the implications for communication professionals in commerce, industry, the public sector and social organisations".
