PAST PRESIDENT OF IPRM APPOINTED AS REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE OF GLOBAL ALLIANCE FOR PR &amp; COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT

Kuala Lumpur, 8 September 2009: Malaysia’s public relations industry receives global acknowledgement with one of the nation’s foremost senior PR practitioners’ appointment to the governing Board of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management,(The GA) for the term 2009-2011.

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, based in Lugano Switzerland is the umbrella organization linking public relations professional associations worldwide. Shameem’s presence in Global Alliance puts Malaysia on par with public relations professionals from North America, Europe, South Africa, India, New Zealand and Argentina.

Mr. John Paluszek, Chair of Global Alliance, said: “The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management is delighted to welcome Shameem Abdul Jalil to its governing board. Shameem brings to the organisation not only admirable public relations experience but a point of view greatly needed as we pursue GA's mission of raising standards of the practice and advocating for the profession in venues around the world.
