PRINZ to hold its 2013 Annual Conference on Enduring Communities, Enduring relationships on May 30-31 in Christchurch

April 16, 2013

Christchurch will soon host more than 100 delegates and speakers for the annual PRINZ conference. The theme of ‘Enduring communities, Enduring relationships’ came from an opportunity PRINZ Southern saw to help the city’s recovery efforts and to show colleagues from around the country, and perhaps the world, what’s been happening since the crisis points of September 2010, February 2011 and subsequent earthquakes.

South Island members wanted to illustrate how important enduring relationships are in developing enduring communities, whether these are real and tangible communities or communities of interest. This conference draws on the myriad of expertise embedded in the city - some that has arrived since the big events and some that endure - and have built on existing good practice - to become world leaders in their fields. GA members will know David Brain of Edelman, one of the keynote speakers, following his appearance at the WPRF in Melbourne last year.

In addition to a great speaker programme, a full social and networking programme will ensure delegates get plenty of time to meet, mingle and socialize. The highlight will be a unique Awards celebration on the first night, hosted at the United States Antarctic Programme Passenger Terminal. Thanks to PRINZ member Christchurch Airport, and its relationship with the Antarctic Programme, PRINZ has been given exclusive access to the venue. Guests will celebrate with the 39th annual award winners in the very room used by explorers such as Sir Edmund Hilary and Sir David Attenborough immediately prior to their respective departures for Antarctica.

Read more about the conference, including the full programme, here and register by making direct contact with PRINZ. Global Alliance members are offered PRINZ-member rates to attend.

If Global Alliance members are interested in attending or presenting at the PRINZ 2014 conference (late May, 2014 in Auckland) please register your interest here.
