Professionals from ten countries acknowledged as ‘best of the best’ in the inaugural Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards

December 4, 2013

Excellence in public relations and communication management has been celebrated around the globe following the announcement of the first Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards.

Winners from ten countries have been the first to be recognized at a global level, putting a range of diverse programmes in the spotlight - from public affairs in Finland to global communications in Germany, crisis communication in the United States to issues and reputation management in New Zealand.

The Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards celebrate outstanding national and international public relations and communication management programmes and case studies and, in its inaugural year, the awards attracted support from around the world.

Anne Gregory, Chair of the Global Alliance said: “Our winners demonstrate excellence in professional practice from all parts of the world. The programmes and the case studies will be invaluable teaching resources for the profession as they exemplify the highest standards of practice”.

Winners will be presented with their awards in their home country during the coming weeks by Global Alliance and national association representatives. They will also be invited to present their work at the next World Public Relations Forum being held in Madrid in September 2014.

Entries for the 2014 Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards will open early next year, with the next round of winners announced during the World Public Relations Forum.

Below is the full list of 2013 winners by category:

HEY! It's NTU

"NTU's HEY! magazine is a unique print-digital-social product communication tool that we conceptualised and implemented inhouse to reach out directly to NTU’s target audience of prospective and current students, and improve their perceptions of NTU.

It has proven its longitudinal effectiveness and just before its second birthday earlier this year, HEY! won the International Public Relations Association’s Golden World Award in the Publications category. Today, as many communicators grapple with traditional, social and new media forms, HEY! shows how an integrated model of communication can reach out to stakeholders and improve perceptions. As the Global Alliance COMM PRIX accepts only entries from award winners globally, participating in it allows NTU to benchmark our communications with the best in the world."

One Group One Team: Guardian Group's Internal Rebranding

Our new brand is actually derived from our new strategic direction, our new vision and mission. Our new brand is a manifestation, a visual representation of a new internal state of being. But until we would have achieved this new internal state of being, which is the alignment of our vision, image and corporate culture, we could not have succeeded in re-branding the Group, regardless of the effectiveness of external communications, new signage, logo and so on. It is for this reason we paid meticulous attention to our internal stakeholders and sought to engage them fully in the process, which in the end, yielded tremendous results and success for our rebranding efforts.
