Sylvia Nylin new CEO for the SPRA
"The Public Relations Association is a well-managed organisation with firm foundations. The Association has done a huge amount to raise the status of the industry, partly by initiating and supporting research projects, and it's going to be a pleasure to help move developments forward," says Sylvia Nylin.
Sylvia Nylin has previously worked for the Skandia Group, Telia and as a consultant, and for the past three years she has been working at the Swedish Tourist Association as Head of Communications. She is also on the jury of the new Smart category in the advertising competition, 100-wattaren, and sits on the board of the Swedish Institute in Alexandria. The focus of her job has been operational and business development, and her strengths lie in bringing together information and marketing communication.
"The communication arena is in a state of constant flux, and together with other key players in the industry we can continue to help Sweden progress as an innovative country when it comes to communication," says Sylvia Nylin.
The recruitment process took place over the summer, with the help of recruitment company Talentia.
"Sylvia matches the job specification perfectly. She is outgoing, with a broad skills base within the entire field of communication. She'll have no trouble stepping into the role of spokesperson and key figure in the industry. As CEO she will also ensure that we take additional steps in order to achieve our vision of more, and more communicative organisations," says Cecilia Schön-Jansson, Chair of the Public Relations Association's board.
Sylvia Nylin will take up her position on 2 November.
