TED-style talks scheduled for Toronto 2014 as IABC Launches global call for presentations for next World Conference

October 30, 2013

IABC is now looking for presenters for its 2014 World Conference to be held in Toronto, 8-11 June, 2014. Those interested in presenting now have more than the traditional presentation choices from which to choose.

In addition to keynotes, panels and solo presentations, IABC has added IABC Talks (TED-like 15-minute presentations), debates, and Petcha Kutcha (20 slides/20 seconds per slide/20 minutes for discussion) to the list of presentation styles.

The topics are also now more aligned with IABC’s global principles and the four levels of career development inherent in the career of a communication professional. This is a new approach from past conferences that were organized around tracks related to specific communication topics.

Presenters can now choose a presentation format, a topic that matches one of the global principles and present at a level that matches one of four career levels. If you are interested in becoming a World Conference presenter and believe you can both inspire and entertain, while providing attendees with knowledge that will help them increase their career knowledge, then IABC encourages you to be a presenter.

More specific information about the formats, topics and levels can be found at http://iabc.awardsentry.org/conference

The deadline to enter is 15 November 2013.
