Board
The Global Alliance Executive Board sets the overall strategy for the Global Alliance and oversees execution in tandem with the GA Center in Lugano, Switzerland. The board consists of five officers (Chair, Chair-elect, Past Chair, Secretary and Treasurer), each of whom serves a renewable two-year term, as well as directors from around the world. All seats are filled at the annual general meeting. The board also has the authority to fill vacancies between AGMs, subject to ratification at the next annual meeting.

Daniel Tisch is the president and co-owner of Argyle Communications, one of Canada’s premier independent public relations firms, winner of 39 major industry awards in 2010 and 2011 alone. He has counselled some of the world’s biggest consumer brands, financial service leaders, technology companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, not-for-profits and governments. Before becoming a public relations consultant, Daniel held senior communications roles in the Canadian government, including serving as Senior Policy Advisor and Acting Chief of Staff to Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. He has lectured on public relations at Queen’s University School of Business since 1996 and is a member of the Queen’s University Board of Trustees. In 2007, the Globe and Mail's Report on Business magazine named Daniel one of 16 ‘star alumni' from Canada's leading executive MBA programs. |

Dr Anne Gregory is Professor of Public Relations and Director of the Centre for Public Relations Studies at Leeds Metropolitan University. An internationally recognized researcher, Anne also heads a specialist consultancy from the Centre working for diverse public and private sector clients. At the beginning of 2011 she worked full time with the Department of Health on a project scoping the capabilities of communicators in the 'new' National Health Service. |

William M. Murray, CAE, is President and Chief Operating Officer of the Public Relations Society of America. Murray is responsible for the overall direction of PRSA, which was chartered in 1947. Before consulting, Murray was Executive Vice President and co-Chief Operating Officer of the Motion Picture Association (MPA), the international trade association representing the international interests of the major Hollywood studios in more than 70 countries across the globe. Murray also was President of William Murray & Associates, a consulting firm focused on developing international media strategies for digital content protection, audiovisual regulation, film production tax policy and international government relations. |

Catherine Arrow has a 30 year history as public relations consultant, journalist and communicator spanning both the northern and southern hemispheres. She serves in a number of capacities, including Head of Learning for PRINZ, the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand, lectures regularly at New Zealand universities, and, in her consultancy role, provides strategic public relations advice and online reputation counsel to a variety of organisations, including government, commercial and not-for-profit entities. A CIPR Fellow, Chartered Practitioner, Accredited Practitioner and Member of PRINZ, Catherine has been guiding organisations through their digital relationships since the inception of the web and is currently serving her second term on the Global Alliance board. |

Regina Pinna-Marfurt has been the Chief Administrative Officer of the Global Alliance for Public Relations Management since April 15 2013. She is the Managing Director of the Executive MScom program at the USI Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano. Prior to joining the USI, she worked as an independent PR consultant with a leading Swiss communication agency. She has over 10 years of experience in Corporate Communications and Media Relations in the IT industry, and her other assignments have included working as a marketing and sales manager for a telecommunication company, as publisher of the Swiss women’s magazine “Annabelle” and as product manager at Credit Suisse |
