In the wake of a terrible tsunami that devastated parts of South East Asia in December of 2004, The Global Alliance wanted to explore how the profession could better respond to tsunamis and other large-scale natural disasters. 

The study on Disaster Communication: Lessons from the Asian Tsunami Tragedy explores an appropriate role for the GA and the profession.
