The Museum of Public Relations presents 8th Annual Celebrating Black PR History

There have been tremendous efforts underway the past five years to study the effectiveness of our diversity programs. DEI programs at the Page Society, IPR, the PR Council, PRSA, and most particularly, the Diversity Action Alliance (DAA), have sought to raise the number of diverse students entering the field. And, equally important, several efforts have been made to retain these young employees as they move into management roles.

Ethical communication also involves being mindful of the power dynamics that may exist in a conversation and using language and communication techniques that are respectful and non-manipulative. Overall, the goal of ethical communication is to create trust and understanding between people, and to foster healthy, positive relationships.

LLYC has launched “The Hidden Drug” (THD) to raise awareness of growing global polarization

Polarization in Ibero-America has grown by nearly 40% over the last five years, and every year more and more people engage in polarizing conversations on social media. Since the arrival of the pandemic, the level of involvement or engagement in polarizing conversations is growing at levels of 8% per year in Ibero-America and as much as 15% in the USA.

Drawing on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence techniques, LLYC’s and Más Democracia report, titled ‘The Hidden Drug. A Study on the Addictive Power of Polarizing Public Debate’, analyzes conversations over the past five years in Ibero-America and the United States, processing over 600 million social media posts, gleaned between September 1, 2017, and August 31, 2022.

The Vietnamese Public Relations Network (VNPR) hosted Global Alliance´s President & CEO, Justin Green, and Global Alliance´s CAO, Mateus Furlanetto in a series of activities in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. VNPR became the first association in Vietnam to join Global Alliance and UEH University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City became the first university in the country to join Global Alliance.
