First and foremost, it was our great pleasure to welcome you as Global Alliance's representatives to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from November 10 to November 14, 2022. We hope that Vietnamese cultural and historical beauty and the enthusiasm of our PR practitioners have brought you an unforgettable experience.
Despite the short visit, we conveyed an overall picture of how Public Relations, Communications and Media work in Vietnam and the tremendous potential of the young generation who would bring fresh wind to the industry. The visits to the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), Mai Linh Media and Thanh Nien Daily news agency received positive feedback from corporate leaders, PR & Communications professionals, university students, and the media.
At the School of Media and Design - UEH, Mr. Justin Green’s presentation on country branding and endorsement of influencers by global brands was what generation Z in Vietnam can relate to, piqued the students' interest.
The Association Meeting on Trends and Insights in PR from around the world brought noteworthy information to professional PR & Communications practitioners from agencies, brands and organizations in Ho Chi Minh city. Ho Chi Minh Televisions (HTV) - the largest media agency in the region, also covered the event in the news, reaching millions of people nationwide.
Most importantly, VNPR was announced as the first Vietnamese representative in the Global Alliance network, while UEH became the first university to become a Global Alliance member. This opened new doors to future cooperation regarding industry events, academic knowledge exchange, and business collaboration.
We were honoured to present our Life Honorary Fellowship to Mr. Justin Green as a token of what he and Global Alliance contributed to the Vietnam PR community.
Once again, thank you for choosing Vietnam as one of the destinations in Global Alliance's Asia visit. We look forward to flourishing partnerships and activities with you in the next years.
