The Global Capability Framework scopes the profession
The public relations and communication management profession is now fully global and practitioners work across national boundaries regularly. Responding to this, the Global Alliance called for research which scoped the profession’s breadth and depth and which also identified the capabilities that professionals and teams should have when they perform at their best. The Global Capability Framework does just that. Developed by a group of researchers across six continents and working with professional associations who are members of the Global Alliance, the Global Capability Framework is a world first for setting this international benchmark. It is being used by individuals, teams, employers, academics and professional associations around the world to help structure and guide professional development and teaching curricula. The capabilities and their associated sub-capabilities can be found here.
