A tribute to Dr. Judy VanSlyke Turk

It is with great sadness that I heard our colleague and Global Alliance former board member in the years 2013 to 2015, Judy VanSlyke Turk, Ph.D., APR, Fellow PRSA, passed away in Richmond, Virginia (USA) on Sunday 2nd May 2021. Dr. Turk, former director of the School of Mass Communication and professor emerita of Virginia Commonwealth University (USA) was global inspiration catalyst and beacon of the public relations profession, an exemplary educator, author, editor and researcher.

Unfortunately, I never had the honor to meet Dr. Turk personally, but her reputation preceded her. On behalf of the Global Alliance Executive Board and Members we would like to pay tribute to Dr. Turk for her valuable knowledge sharing, vision and contribution to the rigorous academic and educational standards of Global Alliance.
