Global Capability Framework – invitation to Association Leaders

Global Capability Framework – invitation to Association Leaders

Dear Colleague,

As you will know, the Global Capability Framework is the Global Alliance’s benchmark for how professionals in public relations and communication management perform at their best. It can be used by individuals and groups, such as communication departments and was developed at the request of Association leaders. You told us that your members want such a tool given that their work is increasingly global in scope and reach. You can find the Global Capability Framework on the Global Alliance website here.

We are writing to you because we have further developed the specialist software which allows your members to measure their current capabilities and to plan their professional development. The enhanced software is being launched on 30th April and is only available to professional associations who are members of the Global Alliance. It is a free benefit of your membership and is fully GDPR compliant, so your members’ data is secure. To make the software available to all your members, again for free, you should register your Association for access. You can do that very simply and in less than a minute here. Your members will not be able to access the software without you registering with us because we want this benefit to be linked directly to you, and because it means you can view the statistics linked to the software.

The website now has audio visual and written guides to take your members through the features of the site and through the individual and team capability assessments. There is also a resources section which is available to you to populate with your own training and development materials. This gives your members further reasons to engage with you. At the moment the Resources section shows some examples from the CIPR to demonstrate how you might do this.

Global Alliance President, Justin Green says about the Global Capabilities Framework, “the Global Alliance exists to raise professional standards all over the world and to share knowledge for the benefit of its members. If we want to realise the potential of our profession, then the Global Capability Framework shows us how. It sets the gold standard”.

Please contact the research director for this project, Professor Anne Gregory from the University of Huddersfield at a.gregory@hud.ac.uk if you need further information.

We trust you find this benefit of real use to your members.

Yours sincerely
