Peterson Integreated Communications Institute Launches 2021 Global Leadership Communication Traning Programmes
Peterson Integrated Communications, a member of Global Alliance launched the 2021 Leadership Communication Training Schedule on January 15, 2021 in a function endorsed by Justin Green, President of Global Alliance and attended by Hon. Betty Maina, the Kenya’s Minister for Industrialization and Enterprise Development. Present at the launch were also Board Chairpersons, CEOs, Fellows of the Public Relations Society of Kenya and other senior leaders.
Mr. Justin Green, President of Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, said the programme would provide the much- needed strategic communication skills for leaders to steer their organisations competently. “Communication is absolutely critical for any leader to be effective and successful in leadership,” said Mr. Green, adding that “communication skills are indispensable for leaders in public sector, private sector and Non-profit organizations.” He applauded Peterson for developing this novel leadership programme, which compliments Global Alliance objectives of fortifying communication skills around the globe. He said that Global Alliance has manifested zeal to enhance communication skills by hosting over 100 global education training programmes during 2020. “These free of charge online programmes were offered to Global Alliance members and all their own members, supporting the global profession during COVID 19, reaching hundreds of thousands across the globe,” said Mr. Green. In April 2021, Global Alliance will host another month of free trainings for members.
Speaking at the launch, Ms Betty Maina, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development said that leadership communication skills are a key-driving factor in the success of enterprises. “Strong brands are created through effective strategic communication” said the CS. “I am happy to note that this programmes will also be available globally through online technology making it accessible to a wider audience of leaders,” she added.
Mr. Peter Mutie, the CEO of Peterson Integrated Communication Ltd, the company implementing these trainings said that the programmes would be offered in hybrid format that is both physical and online. This will avail them globally through online technologies that deliver content remotely. “We have already participated in a couple of successful global training programmes through Global Alliance and ASEAN PR NETWORK. We will use these technologies to reach leaders in Kenya and the world,” said Mr. Mutie
Mr. Justin Green President of Global Alliance was honoured with the newly launched Peterson Global Leadership Communication Award, becoming the pioneer world leader to be named Honorary Life Fellow of Peterson Leadership Communication awards. The awards will be hosted annually and will recognize global leaders who have excelled in Leadership Communication.
Petersons’ flagship leadership communication programme, titled the Power of Communication: Skills to Build Trust, Inspire Loyalty and Lead Effectively has grown to become a highly demanded training, accumulating hundreds of alumni in the last three years.
