Puerto Rico Public Relations Professionals Association elects new president: José M. Báez Morales

José M. Báez Morales began his term as President of the Puerto Rico Public Relations Professionals Association (ARPPR acronym in Spanish) last Saturday, October 16, 2021 as part of the closing event of the organization’s 33rd Annual Convention, supported by the Global Alliance (GA). 

Until October 2022, Báez will lead the new Board of Directors, composed of Juan Gumá Yglesias, Vice president; Carlos Rivera Cuesta, Treasurer; Alix Gómez, Secretary; Tomás Dardet, President Elect; Karen Garnik, Past President, and Directors Gladys Díaz, Luis Ojeda, Yadirka Rosa, Nelly Cruz and Daniel Rodríguez.

As part of his inaugural message, the incoming President, who has 26 years of combined experience and works at the time in the government sector, said “We will continue working towards gaining more recognition and respect for our profession. We have the formal education, the skills and the expertise required to elevate our practice. I am confident all of us, working togheter, and with the collaboration of important pertners like the GA, will forge a greater trajectory to achieve greater good.”
