#EthicsMatter – Universidad San Martin de Porres hosted the webinar: Ethics as key to sustainable development in Peru
The 2021 webinar cycle “Social Harmony” launched by the Sustainability Office of the Faculty of Communications Sciences, Tourism and Psychology (FCCTP) of Universidad San Martin de Porres (Peru) discussed the importance of ethics at the labor field of the three Professional Schools of Communications Science, Tourism and Psychology.
The webinar was streamed online on zoom platform on Wednesday, 17 February 2021 @6:00 pm UTC / 11:00 pm GMT.
The Social Harmony Program’s goal is to spread valuable information among its community, related to the importance of keeping a balanced mental health, which is key to our personal, educational, and professional development.
The webinar focused on discussing and reflecting upon the following questions:
- How important ethics are in your labor field? How do you approach ethics in your everyday work?
- How ethics, in your professional career, can help to achieve sustainable human development?
- What is the ethical commitment that graduates of your career must take on? What are some of the difficulties that they may find to maintain this commitment throughout their professional careers? How can they overcome those?
Speakers
Outstanding graduate students were invited to share the ethical commitment and moral values that the Faculty taught them and their commitment to sustainable human development.
Communications Sciences: Patricia Ulloque. Professional journalist. Masters in University Teaching and ongoing post graduate studies in Public Policies at University of San Martin de Porres. Institutional image and event organization Diploma at University Jaime Bausate y Meza. Currently working as journalist and Tv host at TV Perú.
Tourism: Franco Flores Romero. Tourism and Hospitality Graduate. Master in Ecotourism, with specialization on Design and Management of Customer’s Experience and Public Project Investments. 15 years of leadership on projects and programs of touristic development with vulnerable communities. Consultant in touristic products design and innovation, destination evaluation, marketing, and touristic entrepreneurship.
Psychology: Guillermo Gates. Compensation coordinator. Master’s in human resources management. 7 years of experience in Human Resources. Currently leading the Compensation strategy in Primax (internal equity and external competitiveness analysis, annual campaigns for salary increase and promotions and responsible supplier management).
Moderator: Cristopher Correa. Head of the Graduate Monitoring Office at the Faculty of Communications Sciences, Tourism and Psychology (FCCTP)
