Global Alliance President Meets with Zambia’s Minister of Information and Media
Prof. Justin Green, President and CEO of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, met with Hon. Cornelius Mweetwa, M.P., Minister of Information and Media of the Republic of Zambia, to discuss strategic collaboration in advancing professional communication and media practices across the region. The meeting, held in Mombasa, Kenya, underscored the importance of strengthening public relations as a tool for transparency, good governance, and national development.
During their exchange, Prof. Green emphasized the Global Alliance’s commitment to supporting capacity building and knowledge-sharing in the communication sector, particularly in emerging economies. He highlighted the Alliance’s global advocacy for Responsible Communication as a foundation for ethical, transparent, and inclusive public discourse. Both parties agreed on the value of future partnerships to foster ethical public discourse.
Prof. Green also extended an invitation to Zambia to actively participate in the upcoming Global Alliance´s World Public Relations Forum 2026, to be held in Abuja, Nigeria hosted by NIPR - Nigerian Institute of Public Relations with the support of APRA – African Public Relations Association — a landmark event that will bring together global leaders to shape the future of strategic communication.
Hon. Mweetwa reiterated the Zambian Government's commitment to support the advancement of public relations and communication at local and global levels.
