Global Alliance Launches 2025 SYP Month, Highlights the Power of Communication and AI

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management (Global Alliance) is set to launch its annual Student and Young Practitioners (SYP) Month this October with the theme “Communication Can Change the World.”

Building on the success of last year’s initiative, the 2025 celebration continues to highlight the #NextInLine movement, designed to empower and nurture the future leaders of PR and communication.

This year’s theme emphasizes the transformative power of communication, reflecting how youth-driven movements across the globe have shown the ability to shift perspectives, spark change, and influence individuals.

With evolving technology and artificial intelligence reshaping today’s communication practices, the theme challenges students and young practitioners to use their voices and skills to establish trust, counter misinformation, and drive meaningful change.

The month-long event will feature three core activities across six regions around the world. First, the #NextInLine Rocket Forum will feature a series of forums, discussions, and conferences that tackle the role of communication in developing actionable strategies while navigating the role of AI in communication.

Each forum will also include the signing of a manifesto, uniting students and young practitioners in their pledge to use communication as a force for positive change. The manifesto incorporates the Venice Pledge, which reinforces a global commitment to the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of AI in communication.

In mid-October, the #NextInLine Hero Web Conference will commence, bringing together young professionals and reputable PR consultants to delve into topics surrounding communication and its influence on shaping the world in an era of AI. This virtual roundtable is scheduled for October 24, 2025, and will feature key speakers from different regions across the world, providing diverse and invaluable insights for participants and attendees.

The #NextInLine Hero Web Conference will not only showcase important discourse from key speakers but also host the #NextInLine Changemakers’ Recognition ceremony. This program will honor a total of 60 exceptional candidates, with ten nominees selected from each region, who embody innovation, social impact, and leadership in shaping the world through responsible communication.

“The strength of our profession lies in the passion and purpose of the next generation of PR practitioners,” said Ana Pista, board member of Global Alliance and chair of the Student and Young Practitioners Month. “This year’s theme serves as a reminder that the youth have powerful and influential voices that can truly shape the world for the better. We at Global Alliance aim to create spaces where these changemakers can develop their skills and grow as future leaders.”

Prof. Justin Green, President and CEO of Global Alliance, also expressed his sentiments, stating, “We are at a turning point where technology and human creativity must work hand in hand. Communication has the power to unite, challenge, and inspire progress — but it must be rooted in trust.”

Global Alliance is committed to providing a platform for students and young practitioners to engage with established industry leaders, forge connections with their peers, and participate in international discussions surrounding responsible communication.
