Global Alliance Board Adopts the Sharjah Mandate, Defining Strategic Priorities Through 2027

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management held its in-person Board Meeting in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, from 13–15 November 2025, hosted by the University of Sharjah, gathering senior leaders to advance strategic initiatives and strengthen the Alliance’s global impact.

The meeting brought together 14 Board Members and the CAO representing Australia, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Nigeria, Philippines, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Turkey.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the definition of the Strategic Priorities through 2027, as articulated in the Sharjah Mandate. These nine priorities will guide the work and decision-making of the Global Alliance Board over the coming years and are outlined below.

The Sharjah Mandate

1. Strengthen governance, leadership pathways and accountability.

2. Redefine the membership model, value proposition and regional growth strategy.

3. Build an integrated academic and research strategy with global partnerships.

4. Lead globally on responsible AI and technology ethics in communication.

5. Modernise communication, digital infrastructure and brand execution.

6. Mobilise the world towards WPRF 2026 and use it as a strategic anchor.

7. Redesign the Global Alliance Awards to become a credible global standard.

8. Establish a sustainable revenue strategy combining sponsorship, membership and accreditation.

9. Support regional councils with structured tools, training and growth frameworks.
