Global Alliance Celebrates Esther Cobbah’s Historic Appointment as First African Woman President of IPRA, Beginning October 2025

It is with great excitement and a profound sense of pride that I share with you a remarkable milestone—not only reached, but truly conquered.

As President of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, I am honoured to invite our 360,000 professionals across 126 countries to join me in celebrating the historic appointment of Ms. Esther Cobbah, President of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana, as the first-ever African woman to serve as President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA). Ms. Esther Cobbah term will commence from October 2025.

At the Global Alliance, our mission is to advance the public relations profession through responsible communication, adherence to ethical codes, education, and the promotion of mutual understanding across cultures and regions.

Esther has long stood as a beacon of professionalism and integrity. I have had the privilege of working alongside her, exchanging insights and knowledge at the global level, and witnessing her unwavering commitment to the highest standards of our field.
