Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communications Management has dedicated April 2021 to the second edition of a virtual ‘Education & Training Month’ as part of our continuing support of the profession worldwide during the COVID-19 crisis. Last year Global Alliance members provided over 50 webinars free of charge covering a variety of relevant themes to our profession.
The European Regional Council of the Global Alliance is leading the organization and promotion of the « Global Trends and Communication Transformation Month » scheduled for March 2021. A webinar gathering leaders of Professional Organisations members of Global Alliance will be streamed on Thursday 18 March 2021 at 5 PM GMT. The goal is to consolidate and present the results of a survey about “Global Trends and Communications Transformation” to get a common vision of the transformations which are changing our profession.
Thank you to everyone who kept the conversation going for the second annual Global Ethics Month, which took place in February 2021. We saw great engagement from Global Alliance members, with all continents represented in discussions and content. From Peru to New Zealand, from Kenya to Canada and from Puerto Rico to Indonesia, the PR and communications community highlighted the importance of ethics to the practice of our profession by bringing attention to and reminding the world that #EthicsMatter.
The Brazilian Association for Business Communication, Aberje, launched a new project this year, as part of the theme of the association's year “Communication and Ethical Capital”. The program “Mídia e Negócios” (Media & Businees) starts a series of interviews with editors from the main business vehicles in Brazil and the world, which aims to clarify the new media environment for organizations. The series opens with Gillian Tett, co-chairman of the Financial Times editorial board, columnist for markets and finance and editor of Moral Money, a newsletter created in 2019 and entirely dedicated to ESG themes.

The 2021 webinar cycle “Social Harmony” launched by the Sustainability Office of the Faculty of Communications Sciences, Tourism and Psychology (FCCTP) of Universidad San Martin de Porres (Peru) discussed the importance of ethics at the labor field of the three Professional Schools of Communications Science, Tourism and Psychology.
