Global Alliance President Justin Green will address the issue of ethical standards at the Davos Communications Summit which takes place on Thursday 25th February 2021, from 3pm CET. Speaking on the topic of ‘The Merge Between PR, Advertising and Digital’ Mr Green will highlight the need of our profession to maintain the highest ethical standards, with the continuing integration of these management functions, in an ever changing landscape into the future. The title of this year’s Summit is ‘Leadership During Turbulent Times.’

Global Alliance is now a signatory to the International Declaration of Communications Professionals and Researchers for a Healthier, Viable, Better World. The Declaration has been drawn up by Orbicom, the International network of UNESCO chairs in Communication.

We have agreement from about a third of our membership to deliver ethics-themed content in February, whether that is through repurposing existing, or creating new, content. Thank you to everyone who has shared their plans for Global Ethics Month and the second annual #EthicsMatter campaign.

The growing importance of sustainability, responsibility and societal consciousness highlights the question of our industry’s impact on the environment but also on social issues. Also, the development of technology and digital methods, are transforming our profession, its purposes, its place in organisations, and its methods.

As part of Global Alliance´s Ethics Month, our member PRSA – Public Relations Society of America is offering to Global Alliance Members an opportunity to watch for free the PRSA Storytellers Series: Leading With Ethics — A View From the Top. This webinar is being hosted by PRSA on February 4, 2021 04:00 p.m. – 05:00 p.m. ET, and it will be available for one year.

Peterson Integrated Communications, a member of Global Alliance launched the 2021 Leadership Communication Training Schedule on January 15, 2021 in a function endorsed by Justin Green, President of Global Alliance and attended by Hon. Betty Maina, the Kenya’s Minister for Industrialization and Enterprise Development. Present at the launch were also Board Chairpersons, CEOs, Fellows of the Public Relations Society of Kenya and other senior leaders.

Global Alliance President, Justin Green inaugurated the Africa Region office in Nairobi, Kenya in a ceremony attended by Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) officials and the Chair of the Africa Regional Council, Mr. Peter Mutie. The Nairobi office will provide liaison and communication support for the various Global Alliance activities and programmes undertaken in Africa.

Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management (Global Alliance) announces in partnership with Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) the opening of two new offices in Nairobi, Kenya and New York, USA to provide liaison and communication support for the various activities and programmes undertaken in the regions of Africa and North America, respectively.
