The Global Alliance for Public Relation and Communication Management European Summit hosted in Venice by the Italian Federation of Public Relations FERPI provided the opportunity for global delegates from Asia/Pacific, North and South America and Africa/Middle East to join European colleagues from Italy, Germany, France, UK, Finland, Portugal, Czech and Estonia.

 The focus was the Technology, Trends and Transformation in Communications month organised by the Global Alliance European Regional Council. A central topic for presentations was use of technology and AI in PR alongside sustainability.

Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Communication and The Digital Economy of Kenya, Mr. Stephen Isaboke hosted Prof. Justin Green, President and CEO of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, and Mr. Peter Mutie, Chairman of the College of Fellows at the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK).

During the one-hour meeting, President Green officially briefed the Principal Secretary on the upcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) 2026, which will be hosted by the African continent in Nigeria next November by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and powered by African Public Relations Association. The President extended a formal invitation for Mr. Isaboke to attend the Forum, which is expected to attract over 3,000 global delegates, including communication professionals, academics, and industry leaders from around the world.

As President of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, I am honoured to invite our 360,000 professionals across 126 countries to join me in celebrating the historic appointment of Ms. Esther Cobbah, President of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana, as the first-ever African woman to serve as President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA). Ms. Esther Cobbah term will commence from October 2025.

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management successfully concluded another meaningful edition of the Education, Training and Development Month (GAETDM) 2025. Throughout April, GAETDM once again served as a unique platform for global learning, knowledge exchange, and professional engagement, strengthening Global Alliance’s commitment to advance public relations and communication management education and practice worldwide.
Carrying the overall theme “Reimagining PR and Communication: Ignite, Learn, Transform,” GAETDM 2025 once again provided an inclusive and collaborative space where professionals, educators, researchers, and students from around the world gathered to share expertise, exchange knowledge, and explore the evolving direction of the profession.

Venice Pledge Reaffirms Global Commitment to Ethical, Human-Centered AI Practices

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management is proud to announce the updated Responsible AI Guiding Principles for the PR and Communication Profession, officially ratified by its Board of Directors in June 2025.

These revised principles are the result of a collaborative AI Symposium Workshop Session held in Venice, Italy, hosted by the Global Alliance’sEuropean Regional Council in partnership with FERPI – Italian Federation of Public Relations, as part of the Global Alliance’s Technology, Trends, and Communication Transformation Month in May 2025.

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management is proud to announce the launch of its Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) Month this June 2025, a global initiative aimed at promoting inclusive excellence within the public relations and communication industry.

Throughout the month, the Global Alliance and its member organizations across six continents will spotlight the vital role of DEI in shaping ethical, effective, and sustainable communication.

The African Public Relations Association (APRA), in partnership with the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), invites communication professionals across Africa and beyond to register for APRA Kenya 2025, the 36th Annual APRA Conference, taking place June 9–13, 2025 at the PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort & Spa in Mombasa, Kenya.

This year’s conference marks a historic milestone—50 years of APRA—celebrating five decades of advancing the public relations profession across Africa. APRA 2025 promises to be a landmark event, drawing delegates including PR professionals, thought leaders, policymakers, and media experts.

The historic setting of Piazza San Marco in Venice, Italy became the epicenter of dialogue and innovation in the field of public relations and communication. The European Communication Summit “Technology, Trends & Communication Transformation”, promoted by the Global Alliance European Regional Council. Held at The Home of The Human Safety Net, the international summit explored how artificial intelligence and ethics are reshaping the future of communication.

The summit opened with welcome remarks from Filippo Nani, President of FERPI, and Prof. Justin Green, President & CEO of Global Alliance, who both highlighted the importance of cross-border collaboration in tackling ethical challenges posed by emerging technologies.

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management convened its in-person Board Meeting and Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 15–16 in Venice, Italy. The meetings were followed by the European Communication Summit hosted by Global Alliance European Regional Council and InspiringPR conference, hosted by Ferpi – the Italian Federation of Public Relations.

The gathering brought together 13 Board Members and the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) representing a diverse array of countries, including: Ireland, France, USA, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Peru, Malaysia, Philippines, Brazil, Finland, Portugal, Canada, India and Germany.
